If you haven’t already noticed, the 70’s has made a huge comeback this season. Wide leg pants, fringe, and platform shoes are all the rage. Want to be on trend but not sure how to start? Not to worry, I’ve made this style board just for you. And just because this decade has made a comeback doesn’t mean that you have to spend tons of dollars on revamping your wardrobe.
The good news is that most thrift stores will probably have what you’re looking for and you may already have a lot of pieces in your closet already. Take the crop top for example. Pair a crop top with some high waisted wide legged jeans and platform shoes and you’re good to go. If you don’t want to make the full 70’s commitment, you don’t have to either. You can take a simple piece like a floral crown boyfriend’s bag and add it to your everyday look and still be part of this trend.
Now let’s talk about the style board below. We have a loose fitting fringe kimono which you can pair over a high neck crop top. Here, I added a high waisted pair of wide legged jeans, a wedge heel sandal, and fringe bag. I used neutral colors here but you can also have fun with patterns. The 70s style was very connected to nature and earthy tones. For accessories, you can try a floral crown, floral jewelry, and bangles. I also like adding sunglasses to go with my looks. Here I added some mirrored aviator sunglasses. And for make up, If you want to stay true to the era, opt for a sun kissed look by simply using a bronzer and nude lip and nail color. And last not least, I had to throw in a floral scented perfume. What’s the 70s without flower power!
