I can’t believe the Makeup Show NYC 2018 has already arrived! Every year, I get to cover this amazing event which not only showcases some of the top beauty brands but also provides education, demos and lots of networking opportunities. At the Makeup Show NYC, I always end up learning new things about the brands, the people behind it, beauty tricks and tips. I also meet new people and get to go shopping (at a discounted rate).

The Makeup Show NYC

The Makeup Show NYC took place between May 6th and 7th at Metropolitan Pavilion. There were over 90 brands featured including Makeup Forever, Frends Beauty, KISS, TEMPTU, Smashbox, MustaeV, GLAMCOR, INGLOT, Alcone Company, NYX Professional Makeup, Pinnacle Cosmetics and many more. Many new beauty products were newly launched at the Makeup Show NYC from brands like Danessa Myricks Beauty, Breakups to Makeup, Rebels and Outlaws, and black|Up.

The Makeup Show NYC featured, “Shades of Beauty” at the Art Gallery.  The gallery featured Danessa Myricks and Moshoodat Sanni, two inspiring artists. The images, artistry, and quality were just amazing. Aside from the art at the gallery, celebrity artists spoke in a series of keynotes, workshops, and seminars. A few in attendance included Bobbi Brown, Miss Fame, Elizabeth Scherle, Kevin James Bennett, Jordan Liberty, and more. These speakers shared their secrets to success, techniques, and tips.

Shelly Taggar, Owner of The Makeup Show states, “The Makeup Show is so much more than just a trade show. It is a place for artists to network, shop, take classes, set new beauty trends in the industry, and for top brands to launch new products to the pro community. With our increase in education this year there was an even stronger sense of community and inspiration for artists. Our goal for the show is to continuously change people’s lives by creating new opportunities and inspiring artists to advance in their careers. I’m very proud of what this show  has become and look forward to continuing to achieve these goals in Orlando, Chicago, and Los Angeles.”

As always, I’m sharing some of the event’s highlights. Check out my video below for a closer look inside the Makeup Show NYC 🙂
