November has been quite cold. I think I was so spoiled with Indian summer this year that I’d forgotten how cold it could get.
For colder days, I am big on layering. I love pairing a button down with a cozy sweater. Here I went with a denim polka dot printed chambray and layered a soft embellished sweatshirt with it. I rolled up the sleves togeher to give it a more casual look.
I also cuffed up my jeans and went with a light washed tan color ankle bootie. A lighter color shoe always contrasts nicely against a darker denim.
On weekends, I like carrying lighter bags so I went with this fun clutch bag by BCBG that reads: Inspire. It’s roomy enough for my wallet, business cards (you never know who you can run into!), lipgloss, and more.
For accessories, I wore my usual Alex & Ani bangles, some midi rings I picked up at H&M, and a chain necklace by JewelMint.

Because it’s so chilly out, us Jersey girls can’t afford to stay in just warm layers. Below I’ve paired an oversized plaid scarf with a tan walker coat. Walker style coats are classic and great to have. I’ve ad this one for a couple of years already and it’s just one of those coats that do not go out of style.
