Henna Cream Color Review

Giving your hair color a boost should never be a bad thing. But as women, we know that beauty often comes with a price- damage due to bleach or harsh chemicals, allergic reactions and more. With Surya Brasil’s Henna Cream Color, you can push those worries to the side. This stuff is full of natural ingredients such as vegetable extracts including herbs and fruits from Brazil and India, which offer simultaneous coloration and deep conditioning treatment for the hair as well as intense treatment for the scalp. Henna Cream does not contain sodium laureth sulfate, parabens, artificial coloring, artificial fragrance, solvents, mineral oil or GMO’s. All have been hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested.

Surya Brasil provided me with their Henna Cream Color product in the color Chocolate to test out. The product retails at about $16 and up. You can find it at stores such as Whole Foods or online at, www.suryabrasilproducts.com

The steps to using the Henna Cream Color are quite different from your average at home hair color kit. You have to first shampoo your hair and towel dry before applying the color cream. The kit comes with a plastic wrap for your hair, disposable plastic gloves and the henna cream color.

Basically you shampoo your hair first and towel dry. Next, you apply the henna cream onto your hair. I used a coloring brush and divided my hair into sections as I applied the cream color. Using the plastic hair wrap, I wrapped up my hair.  I left the product on for 60 minutes and saved the remaining product for another time. After the 60 minutes passed, I rinsed out the product, dried and styled my hair.

The result was really unexpected. I honestly expected the product to be less effective because of the ingredients. I sure was wrong. The color looked great and my hair was so soft and shiny! I got compliments for days, too. Family and friends kept on asking if I had just gotten my hair done. To me, that says it all.
