DIY Sequin Camera Strap

One of the things I’ve always disliked about photography (as a female photographer) is how boring the bags and camera accessories can be. Of course, we have more options lately but oh so pricey. I love anything that glitters and is gold, so I’ve had my eye on a sequin gold strap. Browsing on Etsy, I’ve seen some nice ones- they go for about $32+ So, of course the crafty chick in me decides- I can do that! And the adventure begins…

First, I found a camera strap by Sunpak at Walmart on clearance for only $8! Score!

The quality was great and sturdy for my DSLR.

Next, I went to the craft section and spotted a chunky gold sequin roll for under $3.

And since I already have a glue gun at home, that’s all that’s left to do. Make sure you cut neatly, evenly, and leave no strings hanging. You will then carefully and slowly glue the sequin strip straight across the strap.

And voila! You have created your very own Sequin Camera Strap under $11! Now that’s pretty awesome if you ask me 😉
