On Saturday, May 24th BeautyCon took over Pier 36 in NYC! BeautyCon, the first annual fashion and beauty summit brings influential icons in the industry such as you tuber bloggers, stylists, and brands to their fans! The past several years this summit has taken over Los Angeles and this year they finally brought it to NYC.
What is BeautyCon?
This event brings together the bloggers, stylists, beauty experts and the viewers together in one area to discuss the media’s influence on the industry, watch presentations, listen to panel discussions, and interact with some of their favorite you tube channel beauty icons.

Where do we begin?
There was so much to take in on the expo floor. Amazing fashion vendors, makeup vendors, meet and greets, and even a dance floor lounge area to relax and mingle with other beauty gurus.
Celebrities and more
A major highlight of the event was that Jay Manuel, celebrity makeup artist and star of America’s Next Top Model was at the event hosting a makeup challenge! He walked through the crowd answering questions, taking pictures and giving advise to audience members.
Elle Magazine sponsored this event and offered mentoring sessions that explained the behind the scenes of a beauty editorial shoot!
Other names you might recognize that were in the building were Carli Bybel you tube beauty blogger, Amy Pham, Whitney Port, Kandee Johnson and Dulce Candy to name a few.
BeautyCon supports good causes
The charity partner event was I AM THAT GIRL. I AM THAT GIRL is raising standards on how we treat ourselves and other women. It is about showing support to one another and inspiring women to love who they are and be comfortable expressing themselves.
