Baking with Bloggers and Lumelle at the Hudson Cakery

We were recently invited by a fellow blogger to a fun cookie decorating event. I thought it was such a fun idea and I just knew my mini would have a great time!

The event was hosted by Lumelle.com, a new website that caters to bringing women together to form friendships. Lumelle matches you to members who are similar to you, share your interests, likes, and dislikes. Lumelle also hosts exclusive members-only events where you can meet other members and make friends. Or, you can host your own event and other members can join. Regardless of how you choose to meet your new friends, friends make life more fun.

It was a small group of bloggers but we all had a nice time. We were greeted by the Victory PR girls who offered us strawberries in champagne and yummy cake pops. We then met Hudson Cakery owner, Jenn who showed us how to decorate the cookies. We got on our aprons and got to decorating. Everything was super yummy.

Let’s Get to Baking!

Or cookie decorating. It’s been a while since I have attended a fun hands-on event like this, I think Lumelle definitely has the right idea. It’s nice to do group activities and forget about daily stresses every now and then. Just imagine getting together with friends to bake all your worries away. Friendship is important just like it is important for women to support and build one another. This ugly behavior is unfortunately seen too often today. As a mom, I can only teach my daughter to be a good friend to others and hope that one day she will be blessed with beautiful friendships.
